The Mid Region is home to three early schooling institutes but only one intermediate school: Mid Region Academy. Situated at the heart of the Mid Region territories, the Academy serves as a central site for formal education and youth development among Korai Uji’s Mid Regioners. With its angular architecture, vivid orange livery, and emblem of soaring birds, Mid Region Academy stands as much as a symbol of ambition as it does a space for discipline and growth.
Regularly ranked second on Uji for end-of-cycle exam scores, Mid Region Academy holds a friendly rivalry with the Mainland’s two other academies. Unlike City Korai Academy in the Upper Region or The Dyad Scientifics Academy in the Lower Region (both of which rely on highly competitive entrance exams), Mid Region Academy offers a more accessible route through its generous proximity-based admissions model, paired with a modest entry fee. Its catchment area stretches beyond the Mid Region, enrolling students from the Upper Lower Region and even parts of the Upper Region. As a result, it has become a strategic fallback for Upper Region families whose children narrowly miss out on admission to City Korai Academy.
By size, Mid Region Academy is the third largest schooling institute on Uji, following the Lower Region’s Tassan Technical Intermediate School (commonly known as Tassan Tech) and Basaltstone School of Early Learning. Students from across the Mid Region attend Mid Region Academy to engage in standardised instruction and region-wide assessments, making the Academy a key site for measuring both individual aptitude and regional cohesion.
Mid Region Academy also plays an active role in shaping the civic imagination of its students, supported by a thriving extracurricular culture. Its club programmes span a wide range of interests: from orchestra to Diving, Handball, Map-Makers of Uji, and more. Each club provides students with opportunities to develop talents beyond the classroom and contribute to Ujian life. As such, the institute remains a formative pillar of pre-adulthood life for Korainians across Uji.
The narrative heart of WOKU. An era with a plethora of stories and experiences, each exploring the Korainian world in unique ways.
