The historical Isle of Sandya was a lush settlement within the Mother Isles, largely inhabited by Redscales and distinguished by its dense tropical forests, waterfalls and striking red-sand beaches. Its earliest settlements lay closer to the shoreline, where access to the surrounding waters supported the isle’s developing communities. Historical records later described the erection of great terracotta-coloured walls, which enclosed a growing central settlement and extended into the base of the mountain. Beyond the walls, smaller communities remained scattered along the coastline and among the forests.
